A solo motorcycle journey around the globe
This presentation recalls the first stage of an attempted round the globe journey by Declan McEvoy, one of our own members. So it’s promised to be an exciting and awe inspiring talk about where this crazy notion came from, the preparations and the build-up and of course the journey itself from leaving Ireland and riding continually east for seven weeks, clocking in a staggering 14,000km passing through places like Istanbul, Armenia, Iran and the Stan’s – not to mention the Door to Hell!
Declan will also give an insight about what the next stage entails as he prepares to return in June to be reunited with his beloved KLR650 and resume the eastward journey to Mongolia, Siberia and the Road of Bones towards Alaska.
